The system covered all aspects of their chemical plant operations in the manufacture of Kevlar and Lycra and in their Combined heat and power unit. The improvements from the Environmental Management System included reduction of emissions and discharges, but perhaps more significantly continuous improvement in waste prevention, abatement, reduction, recycling and re-use of waste, resulting in saving of £490,000 achieved through re-use of waste |
