Paper Waste

Activity –Bridge It with Waste Paper

You will need

• Used A4 pages
• Used, washed and dried plastic vending cups
• Sand
• Buckets or similar containers to catch the sand

What to Do

• Give each individual/pair or small group some of the used A4 pages
• Give them the used cups, sand and a bucket
• Challenge them to construct a bridge made from the paper that will span 15 cm and will be strong enough to hold a cup full of sand
