Activity – Card Games from Waste

You will need

• Used card such as old cereal boxes
• Used gift wrap or old magazines
• Ruler
• Scissors
• Glue/glue sticks

What to Do

• Cut out shapes from the cardboard so you have equal sizes of card-
• 10 squares, 10 rectangles, 10 circles = 30 cards = 15 cards each
• Find matching images amongst the old gift wrap and magazines
• Cut out the images and glue them onto the cards
• Use these cards to play memory games or Snap
• You could also glue a favourite picture or images onto a piece of card then cut it up into different shapes to make your own jigsaw type game
• Make this game as big or small as you want depending on the size of old card
