Activity – Sock Puppets

You will need

• An old sock
• Large empty cereal box
• Glue
• Old material eg worn out t-shirts and odd bits of wool
• Scissors

What to Do

• Put the sock on your hand so your fingers and thumb are in the toe and the back of your wrist is in the heel
• Carefully cut an oval shape out of the cereal box and the same sized oval out of an old piece of material
• Glue the material oval onto the card oval
• When the glue is dry fold the covered oval in half the short way
• Glue this folded oval onto your sock
• Cut out 2 small circles for eyes and glue them onto the sock
• You may wish to add a tongue, moustache, hair, beard etc to your puppet
